The stage is set for a chilly Christmas eve, as our Storyteller – award-winning actor and narrator Julie Hesmondhalgh (Coronation Street, Mr Bates vs The Post Office) – weaves tale and verse through magical arrangements.
Join us for an evening of seasonal stories as the Howard Assembly Room is filled with glorious festive music performed by an ensemble from our very own Orchestra of Opera North.
From ‘Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies’ to ‘Good King Wenceslas’ – made especially for a group of ten musicians, by arranger Andy Stamatakis-Brown – join us for an evening of seasonal stories as the Howard Assembly Room is filled with glorious festive music performed by an ensemble from our very own Orchestra of Opera North.
Always a festive favourite, whether it’s classical, folk, carol or a combination of all three, the songs, melodies and stories of this intimate evening will bring joy and a warm glow – all under our stunning vaulted ceiling and beautifully decorated for Christmas.
