Poulenc's Sonata for Horn, Trumpet and Trombone

Kirklees Chamber Series

Wednesday 20 March 2024

This event has passed.

Packed with wit, mischief and melody, the 1922 Sonata was an early triumph for Poulenc, completed shortly after the formation of ‘Les Six’.

Players from the Orchestra of Opera North perform a programme arranged around this classic of the brass repertoire, its easy charms belying some fearsome technical challenges.

Part of the Kirklees Concert Season.
